The pond in Winter

Contemplating the late winter clean-out. Every garden or allotment can benefit from a nearby wildlife pond and it doesn’t matter how small. Our pond is situated less than 2m away from the plot at RhizoPhyllia. Frogs and newts are regular visitors to the veggie patch, as are the many insects that flit between the two habitats. Unfortunately, I inadvertently (bad back for a few months!) allowed grass to creep in and now ‘dry land’ is appearing where it’s not wanted. I also didn’t net for leaves this year. Hmmm! Scratches head.
